Revo Carbon Series – Air Box LidThe Revo Carbon Lid and turbo inlet hose have been designed and engineered to directly replace the stock airbox lid, pipe and elbow found in vehicles with the 1.8 and 2.0 TSI engines with an IHI turbo. The Revo Carbon Lid has been designed to increase airbox volume and promote smoother airflow. The closed air system helps eliminate heat soak whilst directing cold air through its curved design directly to the oversized outlet. With a 16% larger outlet, the Carbon Lid drastically improves the rate at which air can flow, ensuring maximum performance at even Stage 3 specification. Silicone Hose DesignThe Revo Turbo Hose as an increased inner diameter to match the large carbon lid outlet that then gradually tapers to the turbo to optimise airflow, while maintaining the tolerances required to fit both LHD and RHD vehicles. Designed to replace the plastic hose and turbo elbow, this upgrade reduces restriction and maximises smooth airflow improving both power and torque throughout the rev range.Turbo InletThe Revo machined inlet replaces the restrictive elbow found on the IS20/IS38 turbos. The billet aluminium piece securely fits the OE unit using locking tabs and integrated O-rings. With almost double the cross-sectional area compared to other available products, air can stabilise and distribute before a smooth tapered transition to the turbo. Removing the internal steps between components ensures smooth and linear airflow transition between elements, providing uninterrupted airflow and removing any unnecessary turbulence.  Research and DevelopmentAll Revo products are designed and rigorously tested in-house utilising 3D printed prototypes, latest CAD and CFD programs, 4 wheel hub dyno and Revo developed data acquisition software. The Revo Carbon lid and Turbo Inlet Hose allows the Stock IS38/IS20 turbo to run more efficiently, by maximising air volume and minimising turbulence you increase power and torque, especially at the top end of the rev range as highlighted during controlled Dyno testing. Keeping a fully enclosed unit keeps intake temperatures to a minimum when combined with the carbon fibre material for increased insulation.The larger diameter silicone hose maximises the increased airflow from the carbon lid to the turbo and replaces the restrictive OEM plastic turbo inlet elbow with a constant taper that ensures a smooth transition of airflow. The machined inlet has a radius bell mouth matched to the specific internal diameter of the IS20/IS38 turbo allowing the 21% increase in air volume to enter the turbo as smoothly as possible. All the parts together, including the internal steps on the silicone hose, are designed to provide the ultimate in airflow characteristics and provide your vehicle with the hardware required to increase performance.Revo Flush FitStandard FitmentDesigned to utilise the bottom part of the stock airbox, the Revo kit offers a performance improvement and looks whilst maintaining an OEM quality fitment.
